Twice a year Kansas City has zombie walks, with food donations going to homeless shelters (you must donate food or money to participate). They are usually on "First Fridays," a cultural gathering centering on open and free art galleries, the first Friday of each month, in the Crossroads District of KC.
I had been walking through the First Friday festivities for a few hours, wondering when I might catch a glimpse of the zombies. Disappointed that I wasn't able to see them, my friends and I were heading back to the car when we turned a corner and BAM! There they were!! I was even lucky enough to catch the very beginning of the horde. Some of the zombies are walking and acting normal (i.e., not trying), because they were shambling back from whence they were wrought (having already completed their route for all intents and purposes).
Still, I am just happy I had a chance to record these elusive, deadly creatures on video.
