Professor Finkelstein says there are three lessons to be learned from the demise of Kodak. Lesson One: it's not easy for a company closely tied to one technology or way of doing things to change and adapt. Lesson Two: even if the company looks for new opportunities when the core business starts to slows down, they are often not successful. Lesson Three: if Kodak had refocused its efforts earlier, the company's fate could have played out more positively for shareholders.
