If you wish to know, who is the most famous Georgian woman, about whom is for over 500 works, which is known as the best female character in the history of world literature and which is the name giver of Medicine, you can read the myth about Argonauts and find there MEDEA – a brilliant woman, who had darkened with her luster even Argonauts in the story about themselves. “Medea” is a story about emigration and solitude, which doesn’t lose its contemporary conception. Foreign child-killer is always interesting for everyone. “Medea” is a play about painful war between cultures. This is a sorrow of loneliness, which is so familiar for any emigrant, who is so much chained with his barbarian homeland. Difference between cultures brings a distance and for barbarian it is too hard and even impossible to get over them. Our new production is about left woman with no homeland, whose character is well known for us, Georgians. This show is an analysis, a try to find our mistakes and their reasons in our pagan past. This is a performance about lonely woman who, the same time is a mother, a wife, a wizard, a monster and a Georgian paradigm too.
