On September 22nd, Rep. Slaughter stood on the House floor to speak out against Chinese demands that GM must partner with a Chinese company and share their car design blueprints if they wish to sell the Chevy Volt in China at a competitive price. Her legislation, the Reciprocal Market Access Act, would put an end to unfair trade practices such as this, and ensure that American manufacturers can compete and win.
