YOU ARE - Thank you to the teenage girls who were brave enough to share their insecurity with the viewers of this clip and to the brave dads who joined them on screen to remind them of their worth. We appreciate your raw courage. It’s not easy to expose your struggle and it’s not easy appearing on camera. This clip was made to highlight the importance of the father/daughter relationship. Dads often aren’t aware of the internal struggle going on in their teenage daughters so it’s important that they remember to remind them of their worth. We want to make special mention of Laura and her dad, Martin who joined us for this filming. Laura is a beautiful 16 year old who couldn’t write an insecurity for herself nor has the capacity to express them but we wanted to have her as part of this clip to honour the teenage girls out there who can’t speak for themselves (for many reasons) and how that makes it even more important for us to love them and tell them that we love them. And to another special teenage girl; Elizabeth who lost her dad this year… the showing of this movie clip was postponed because we knew things were too ‘raw’ to show it. Elizabeth, your dad would be proud of the beautiful young women you are growing into. The talent and gifts and courage you have make you unique and we will enjoy being the voices that remind you of your worth. Above all, God is the voice we need to listen to.
