On May 10th, 2011, Odyssey Networks brought together a dynamic panel of interfaith leaders, artists and people from allfaith traditions to begin "9/11: The Conversation We Never Had". Featured presenters included Bishop Yvette Flunder of The Fellowship, Eboo Patel of the Interfaith Youth Core, and Rabbi David Saperstein of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism.

The event delved into the difficult topics that surround the upcoming commemoration: notions of "sacred space" and what it means for those mourning loved ones; last year's controversy over Park 51 and the fears that lay behind it; politics and the politicization of 9/11; and the impact of media on the way we may come to understand and make sense of perhaps the most significant day of the new millennium.

In her opening remarks Bishop Flunder considers the exploitation and manifestation of the Other.
