Fish: Neon tetras and Elassoma gilberti (gulf coast pygmy sunfish). The Elassoma gilberti had gone to bed at the time of this video. It was late at night.

Plants (from left to right): Ceratophyllum demersum, Cabomba caroliniana, anubias barteri and nana, Myriophyllum, Bacopa monnieri. The floating plants were picked up at an auction and I don't know what their name is.

Link: http://www.homedepot.com/Lighting-Fan... Cost: $19.97 online. Length: 4 feet. Bulbs: Two 700-lumen 6000 K bulbs purchased for a total of $8.

Nitrate: 0 ppm (nowhere even close to the 5 ppm color)

GH: 17 to 22 degrees of hardness

Fertilization: none

CO2 bubbling: none

Snail species: Physa fontinalis, Lymnaea, ramshorn, and assassin snail (Clea/Anentome helena).

Main food for Elassoma gilberti: California blackworms that live in the substrate.

Other: corbicula clams.

Filter: Aquaclearâ„¢ power filter, either a 50 or 70 gallon rating, I forget. I took the plastic top cover off and added a sea sponge to the filter box. I also removed the activated carbon. And lastly I added a sea sponge to the intake tube's end.
