IBM researchers collaborate with Cleveland Clinic clinicians and faculty to advance Watson's medical knowledge. With an emphasis on critical thinking and problem solving, a collaborative learning application built on Watson technology will be available to medical students to help them quickly navigate all the latest content (journals, articles, reference materials) and to improve their critical reasoning for better diagnoses and treatment options. The students will also have the opportunity to teach Watson, to train it, to tell it where its evidence is not the best or where it might have made a mistake, so the system gets smarter over time.
