At the 2012 CMT Music Awards last night, an American Idol vet took the night's highest honor! Hey guys, welcome back to ClevverMusic. The 2012 Country Music Television Music Awards were held last night in Nashville,Tennessee and American Idol Alum Carrie Underwood took home the most coveted award of the night: Video of the Year.

Carrie won for her recent hit "Good Girl" in a category where the nominees were announced during the telecast and voted on by fans during the show at CMT.com. Carrie was quick to thank the fans when accepting the award saying, "I just want to thank you guys for watching the videos, voting for them, supporting all of us because we all need you, we all love you."

"Good Girl" is the lead single off Carrie's fourth studio album, "Blown Away." But this wasn't Carrie's only award of the night; she added another CMT Music Award buckle to her growing collection with a win for Collaborative Video of the Year with Brad Paisley for "Remind Me". Brad shared a hug with Carrie's husband Mike Fisher, before going to accept the award- how cute!

And if that wasn't enough Carrie to fill you up, the Country darling also performed her hit, "Good Girl" at the show last night! After the show, Carrie tweeted a photo holding her two awards, to thank her fans once again: "Thank you so much! These #CMTAwards belong to all of us! What an amazing night!"
