With the release of Specialized’s 2019 range of electric mountain bikes comes the ability to tune the motor via a smart phone app: Mission Control. Whilst out in Switzerland for the launch of the new Turbo Levo, Steve caught up with the design team from Specialized who talked him through the different uses and features of the app, from tuning the acceleration to tailoring the different power modes to your style of riding.
As e-bike technology becomes more advanced the opportunities for connectivity progress too. Why accept a docile e-bike which only works with three pre-set modes when you can finely tailor the bike to your specific riding requirements.
Will we see all e-bikes with dedicated smart phone apps in the future? Let us know what you think in the comments below ⚡️
