Watch and listen as students learn "Creative Audio Production" in one of many noncredit courses offered at Amherst College during Interterm 2013.
Interterm, a three-week period between the Fall and Spring semesters, is a chance for students to return to campus to conduct research, practice with their athletic teams and take noncredit courses on topics ranging from "Celestial Navigation" to "Financial Accounting" to "Social Action Through Social Enterprise." (Visit www.amherst.edu/campuslife/interterm/courses.)
In the workshop shown here, taught by Classroom Technology Specialist Joshua Baum, Five College students practiced new recording and editing techniques and learned to make the most of equipment and software.
The Amherst College IT Department and Academic Technology Services recently opened a host of new multimedia production workstations in the Computer Center on the first floor of the Seeley Mudd building, offering professional hardware and software for use by Amherst College students, faculty and staff.
