This was my favorite race in inline, the points race (read bottom for an explanation). This one is the junior distance, so it's 25 laps around the 200M banked track which is 5000 meters. I felt great this year and especially in this race, I even won every single point lap (as far as i know, the only to ever do so) in the heat and the final. Enjoy the race, I sure did =]

Final Points:
Me: 55 Points
Shaun Thompson, Australia: 19 points
Mauro Casu, Italy: 16 Points
Steve Krawulski, USA: 11 Points

Explanation: A Points race is very unique in that the skater with the most points wins the race. Off the line we have 2 laps to gain our bearings, and then we get our first bell. The bell means that the next time we cross the line; points are awarded to 1st (3pts), 2nd (2pts), & 3rd (1pt). Then about half way through the race the points change to 1st (5pts), 2nd (3pts), & 2rd (1pt); and at the very end of the race the points are 1st (10pts), 2nd (8pts), 3rd (6pts), 4th (4pts), & 5th (2pts). So, each skater will be racing to the finish line after each bell to accumulate the most amount of points by the end of the race. To make it easier, I tabulated the top four point holders on the screen. Write me a message if you have any more questions.
