The Finnish entertainment electronics retailer Verkkokauppa.com, the Finnish advertising agency Rocky Advertising and a team of tech students from Aalto University, Otaniemi, Finland, sent a brand new Nokia Lumia 920 to stratosphere by a weather balloon on 22 November 2012. The launch was a success and reached wide notice in the Finnish media, such as (in Finnish):

This video contains raw footage viewed from the balloon, recorded with a GoPro action camera. The balloon flew for about a 100 kilometres from Jätkäsaari, Helsinki, Finland to Artjärvi, Finland in about 1,5 hours. The balloon was located with a GPS tracker.

The Lumia was as good as new when found, and restarted without a problem. In the end of the video the Lumia screen is foggy because of the fast descend, and the "scratches" are in fact clear spots as the result of hitting branches on the way down.
