Kent introduces you to Martin Werminghausen (a German mechanical engineer) who spent 3 years researching the design and development of the air suspension system so he could come up with a way to fix the internal leaks in the leveling valves. Nothing is more discouraging than to go out to your garage and see your W112, W109 or 600 sitting down on the oil pan! Martin will explain in layman's terms some of the parts and steps that are necessary to properly rebuild the internals in the suspension leveling valves.
This is just one part in big multi part series Kent is doing on OLD Mercedes Benz. 20 years ago many of these models did not seem that “old.” but now they suddenly are and some are becoming quite valuable. Kent will focus on what he feels are the affordable classics. Other than maybe a walk-a-round he will be not doing much on the likes of the 300SL gull wings and roadsters. He hopes to cover the Pagoda W113s in some of these videos. As this is being filmed in 2014 even these will not be “affordable” in the not too distant future.
