Hello again everyone.
I'm excited to welcome the great Peter Chung as our very special guest this coming AN Night.
Peter is prominent in animation history as the creator of 'Aeon Flux', an animated series that aired on MTV in the early 1990s and transformed how we see the medium. More recently, he's the acclaimed director of 'Firebreather' which aired on Cartoon Network and has just been released in assorted DVD formats.
Peter will be showcasing his animation, discussing his works, answering questions and interacting with our audience. This is an AN Night you won't want to miss.

I remember back in the junior college days the gang would get together every week to watch Liquid Television on MTV where they debuted Aeon Flux! It was an event. We'd order pizzas, have some drinks and watch the glory. Aeon had a huge affect on me as an artist. It was so original! So unique. And the main character died? Every time? Well, this was just genius to me.
To say I'm surprised that Peter Chung is coming to AN Night would be a lie. Of course he is!!! Have you seen our historical line up of masters and hustlers?? If not, better ask somebody. Every month we have pioneers of our industry coming to share their experience. I don't know of any kinda of venue that is quite like AnimationNation.com! Every month something amazing is going on and lots of creative and fun people show up to participate. I don't think any other industry organization in the community gets these kinds of results.
We're so excited and honored to have Peter Chung and we're gonna have fun!
If you want to extend your creative experience come to Petra Gallerie this saturday to explore your creative expression and share ideas with real players in the industry for an intimate night of drawing, drinking and self expression. petragallerie.com
I'll be there! Hope to see you there!

One of the most important things in life is knowing that you are smart. But what is smart? I think being smart means you have developed the necessary skills to continue learning new ways to learn new things. For some people sometimes being smart makes them think they are brainy, sly, perceptive or pretty clever. Although this might be the result of when people become too smart for their own good, which may ultimately not be very smart in any sense of the word.
Something I think we have to remember is that we must never stop learning new stuff. You have to realize each day that there is no end to the knowledge and skills you can "soak in" and assimilate into who you are. One definite way to make sure we never stop learning is to fully comprehend how our mind works. This ablility helps us explicate some of the more instinctual, intuitive and complicated experiences we might have. Then our minds won't get blown away too much when something brand new or unexplainable happens.
So come on down and soak in some of the awesome unexplainable genius we'll have for you on AN Night. It will be another night to remember.
