Leprosy is a very ancient disease. Millions of people have been cured over the past 20 years, but leprosy still exists today. The stigma related to leprosy often forces patients to live separate from their families. This video shows how the stigma can be reduced through early treatment and by empowering patients. With this project in India, the Novartis Foundation for Sustainable Development helps patients reintegrate into society and lead a normal life.
