John Tennison, also known as Dr. John Tennison, is a physician, a music historian, and a beast on boogie woogie piano. He brought the history of boogie woogie to Marshall, Texas, and told us we were the birthplace. He located Omar Sharriff (formerly Dave Alexander) and helped bring him back to Marshall. We adored Omar and were grateful for his presence here for the last year of his life. After Omar died, we held a tribute concert to help cover the costs of his funeral. Omar loved Beethoven, and his blues classic, "The Raven" was inspired by Moonlight Sonata. Here, John Tennison takes Moonlight Sonata to another dimension, in tribute to Omar. Thank you John Tennison.
