Since Einstein's Theory of relativity defined the time as the fourth, equal dimension of timespace, visual arts grew from serching the illusion of three-dimenzional space on a two-dimensional plane to the fourth dimension, so the time became an important, equal dimension (video, performance, interactive and electronic arts, etc.).
X-lam relativates time by replacing spatial dimension to time, what is, by realizing reality as a three-dimensional space, impossible. It is acceptable only by understanding reality as a four-dimensional timespace. Watching images on X-lam is as incredible as understanding the Theory of relativity throught our perception, based on the conditions of the Newton's physics.
The relativity of time is also a part of the X-lams watching process. Spectators look moves. If our look moves, we can see a blured image (like on the train, watching the tunnel wall). X-lam causes that image moves with the look, although X-lam stands still. Look moves (by turning the head) and at the same time stands still (image moves with the look). As moving is a function of the time, the time becomes relative when watching X-lam.
