I finally got around to making my full on video of the 2011 USPSA Multi-Gun Nationals. I have a full POV video and a teaser video out from this match, but this compiles the 3rd person view and 1st person view and all in 720p HD video to get a feeling for what the match was like and just watch some cool shooting.

This has all the stages in the order I shot them with the descriptions and my shooting stats before the shooting clips. I tried to add annotations for the places I messed up or lost time. Things I'll take note of and improve on in the future.

I came in 22nd of 106 compeitors who started in Tactical division. I shot a 21" Benelli M1 Super 90, Glock 35 with arredondo base pads and an AR-15 rifle I build myself from a tactical Machining lower/upper, DPMS barrel, Troy Extreme 15" handguard, Battlecomp 1.0, Geissele Super 3-Gun Trigger and Burris Tac30 scope in a GG&G mount. I'm not sposored by anyone, that's just what I run.

I shot the 1st person video with an older ContourHD set on standard mode which is 480p. If I did it again I'd probably leave it on 720 though I don't like the fisheye effect it gets. I now have my own ContourHD camera that does 720p on the low setting and 1080 on the high setting. 3rd person video was shot with my new iPhone 4s, which takes 1080p video. I downscaled it to 720p because it's easier to process and smaller files on my computer. My computer processes the smaller videos fine but the 1080 really puts it through the paces.

Watching this I can really see the small mistakes I made that added up in the match. a couple seconds here and there add up over 12 stages and with only a few points between finishing places, any one of the little bobbles could have bumped me up another spot... Then again, I could have done much worse if a few bobbles had snowballed into something bigger. I don't think I had any major, stage killing mistakes... with the exception of missing a flying clay on stage 1 and 11.

A special thanks to user Landsafari for letting me use his ContourHD camera for this video.

Thanks for watching and see you on the range!
