I only decided to hold my Burgundy Goliath because she has never shown any signs of aggression towards me. This is a species that should be kept by experienced hobbyists only. It needs an almost constantly high humidity and has some of the worst urticating hairs of all tarantulas. Also handling is not recommended as a bite from this species could easily cause mechanical damage. This is due to the large fangs of this species combined with its strength. If you do decide to handle this species then you do so at your own risk.
