This is how I teach myself how to ride. I take biomechanical principles and put them into use. I video and analysis and then rectify and progress. I am, for me, the best and the cheapest instructor around ;) Taking a closer look at what is going on in my canter. If I were to imagine backward circles with my seat bones with 12 o clock at the top, 3 o clock to the back, 6 o clock at the bottom and 9 o clock to the front. My clock is not round....I am escaping out at 4 to 5 o clock and not quite reaching 10 and 11 o clock. So to rectify, I will experiment on the franklin ball and see where my muscles need work and/or where they need releasing. Perhaps I will have a video with it corrected later this month...
