Growing up in foster care can feel like one long transition from home to home, family to family. New York City has more than 11,000 young people in its foster care system -- a third of them live in Brooklyn -- and their stories are often overlooked. A woman named Yasmin Mistry decided those stories needed to be told and created a series called Foster Care Films.
