4. Food for pleasure: So, the food is the first magic pill that will stop your ageing right now. Well I wish it could do so. Food does affect our body, mind, mood, social life, private life, intimate life, everything. But we do not eat food just for survival or just for its scientifically proven or imaginary benefits. Even a so-called perfect food – which there is none – if you eat day in day out from morning to evening, you are not going to be healthy and happy. The first thing you must do while choosing the food is whether it gives you pleasure, whether you like consuming it, and whether you can eat it again and again. But is the pleasure the best way to select food – what about all that junk food with great taste and instant pleasure giving effect, but well known to be health damaging even over a short time scale. I can’t name any names – people have made films about that type of pleasure giving food. When I say pleasure, it really means sustained pleasure, guilt-free pleasure – and just for making a practical tip for how to know which pleasure-giving food is good for you is that if you do not feel guilty, and do not start whipping yourself for eating that particular food for 72 hours, then it is fine for you. Here I am presuming that you are normally quite a sensible normal behaving person. The food that does not make you guilty for 3 days is the one to stop ageing now – see you again for the next 2 minutes.
