Additional Biography: Don Juan Carey, III was born on February 14, 1987 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but went to Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, Virginia. He was used as a wide receiver, cornerback, and a punt/kick returner. DC attended Norfolk State University and started in games all four years at safety and cornerback playing in 44 games. He was known for having soft hands while intercepting five passes his senior year. He finished his career with 179 tackles, 10 interceptions, and 25 pass deflections. During the combine, he ran a 4.54 forty yard dash and had 18 repetitions on the bench press. He was also rated in the top 10% of cornerbacks in his draft class. This resulted in his draft stock to rise. He was drafted in the sixth round, 177th overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2009 draft. However, early in his career, he was injured and put on waivers. The Jacksonville Jaguars claimed him and then put their injured reserve tag on him. He is currently a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is now a member of the Detroit Lions this past season.
