Overcast, cold, wet and windy was not the ideal weather for the KWVR's Autumn Steam Spectacular but the performances from locos and crews certainly more than compensated for the conditions. Subtitled, The Best Of The West, the gala featured three visiting ex GWR locomotives, Pannier No.1501 and 7812 'Earlstoke Manor' from the Severn Valley Railway and large Prairie No.4160 from the West Somerset. The home fleet comprised Black Five No.45305, WD 90733 (as 90711 in 'weathered' condition) 4F No.43924, Coal Tank 1054 (which managed to evade my camera) and 1704 'Nunlow' which had a full line trip on the Friday. The video contains the following scenes filmed on Friday and Saturday morning; 43924 -- Freight at Keighley 1704 'Nunlow' - Oakworth 1501 - GN Straight, Damens Junction and Oakworth 4160 -- Keighley, GN straight, Oakworth and Haworth (top field) 7812 'Earlstoke Manor' -- GN Straight, Oakworth and Top Field 90733 -- with the freight at Damens Junction and Top Field and at Mytholmes Tunnel on passenger duties 45305 -- Keighley, near Ingrow, Oakworth and Top Field Apologies for a few shots where stray raindrops managed to sneak onto the camera lens. Thanks to all at the KWVR who worked so hard to make the gala possible
