Happy 4th! I'm excited for the next chapter i'm going to post, but it won't be today. sorry! Please comment, guys. oh, and this is the cutest quote ever. lol

"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love." ~Anonymous ********************************************

"Good morning, sunshine!" Emily cried, leaping onto Nick's bed the next morning. "Get up, get up!"

Nick groaned and turned onto his stomach and buried his face in his pillow. "Go away," he mumbled.

"What time is it?"

"Five fifty-two," she said brightly.

"Why are you here?" Nick moaned.

"Were getting started today, silly!"

"What I mean is, 'why are you here this early?'"

Emily tossed a pair of sweats that were laying on the floor at him. Because theres something I need to show you. Would youstop asking questions, get off your butt and come out to your balcony?"

"Ugh, fine," he sighed, peeking out from beneath his dark brown lashes. "Give me a minute."

"I'll be outside."

Three minutes later, a sleepy Nick stepped onto his balcony rubbing his eyes, wearing only the sweat pants Emily had thrown at him earlier.

"Finally," she muttered, trying to ignore the muscles on the singer. "You almost missed it."

"Missed what?"

"Look," Emily replied, pointing out at the water.

Within minutes, fingers of color began spreading across the sky in shades of pastel pinks and oranges. Shortly after, the magnificent sunrise was over, leaving the two pajama-clad teens in an awed silence. Out of the corner of his eye, Nick was watching Emily. She was leaning on the rail, wearing purple plaid pajama short shorts and a lime green tank top. Her gorgeous hair was pulled back into a knot on the top of her head, with a few curly tendrils trailing down her cheeks and neck. She wasnt wearing any makeup on her tanned face, but Nick thought it made her even more beautiful, if that was possible.

"Isn't it incredible?" she breathed, staring straight ahead.

"Unbelievable," he responded, not even thinking about the sunrise.

Emily glanced over and saw him staring, causing a pretty blush to creep over her delicate features.

"Um, Im going to go get ready now. Meet me at my house in forty five minutes, ok?"

"What are we going to do to at 7:00 in the morning?!" he exclaimed.

"Well," she grinned coyly. "That's for me to know and you to find out."

She flashed him a quick smile, then turned and flounced off the balcony, calling over her shoulder, "Fourty five minutes sharp! Dont be late!"

When she was gone, Nick ran his hand through his already mused hair. He didn't know if this would work, but for her sake, he wanted to find out, even if it was just so he could see her smile again. He turned and went back into his bedroom. Forty five minutes meant forty five minutes, and he was NOT going to be late. ****************************************
