During the filtration process the water is driven from the inlet manifold to the inner of the filters and through the anti-clogging device, which generates the HELIX EFFECT. The only passage of water is through the channels of the stacked discs. The most part of the solids are retained in the filtering element before the water moves to the outlet manifold.
The three-way valve closes the entrance of water to the filter, communicating the inside of the filter with the drainage manifold. The water filtered by the rest of the filters introduces itself to the filter at the opposite direction. This generates the decompression of the stack of discs thanks to the raising of the piston. The tangential projection of the water from the inner of the filtering element allows the evacuation of the solids retained by the discs.
AZUD HELIX AUTOMATIC backflushes in only one station while the rest of the equipment is in filtration stage, supplying the installation.
