The promised land of a small group of rabbits who left their burrow on a whim and journeyed far to build a better life on Watership Down. It's not commonly known that the Down is real and Richard Adams, who wrote the book, lives nearby. A lot of the Down is fenced off, partly for the personal use of its owner, and partly to protect the fragile chalk Down form human erosion, but the views fron the top are epic and on a good day, you can see for miles. The lanscape is rolling hills, it's really quite beautiful.
Nuthanger farm which featured in the book is a mile or so away just outside Eccinshall.
