Majesta,16, lives in Ntoroko, a town in rural Uganda approximately 350km west of the capital city of Kampala, located right on the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. Due to a lack of formal employment, most residents in Ntoroko generate a small income through by rearing cattle. Majesta, who has not been able to attend school for a variety of reasons, is now enrolled in Youth in Action - a Save the Children program in partnership with The MasterCard Foundation. Youth in Action aims to improve the socio-economic status of rural young people in Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, Malawi, and Uganda through an experiential combination of education and livelihoods opportunities.
