WCPX TV (Chicago IL) relays a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING from The National Weather Service In Chicago via the Emergency Alert System For Cook and Du Page Counties in Illinois on Friday June 20 2008 At 5:17 PM.

*INTERESTING NOTE: This is the only local station in the Chicago land area that I've found that relays severe weather watches and warnings using the emergency alert system.

*FURTHER INTERESTING NOTE: Although they use the Emergency Alert System to relay severe weather watches and warnings, they do NOT use the voice announcement from The National Weather Service. They just simply use the header tones, attention signal, and then the "end of message" tones. Not A Very Effective Way of Warning People (In My opinion)
