Hector J. Robinson Observatory Dedication Day - Observatory Reopens. Unfortunately I missed some of Leo McMaster's speech. But all of Dr. Dey's speech is on this clip.

The observatory now has a Celestron C-14 as well as a Lund Solar scope and an 80mm F6 Meede all mounted on an excellent computer controlled mount.

A quick interview with Mr. Griggs is on this video as well. I spoke with him about the old days when Hector J Robinson had his class build the first 12 inch Newtonian. I asked him if there were other telescopes built by the class. He said Hector's class built about 8 smaller telescopes. And they would look through those before they had the big one built. So there was a lot of telescope building happening back in the early 60's at Huff Jr. High. And later we built three Newtonians in 1976, 77. A 10 inch Newtonian, and 8 inch and I built a 4.25 inch one.
