Sébastien Tellier - Divine -- Live
Eurovision Song Contest 24th May 2008

Need to know:
France's self-styled answer to Justin Timberlake, Sébastien Tellier serves up some laid-back Gallic electro, combining French and English lyrics. Well-respected among France's music intelligentsia, the Parisian multi-instrumentalist featured on the soundtrack of the Sofia Coppola movie Lost In Translation and has three studio albums to his name, the last produced by Daft Punk maestro Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo.

Track record:
Tellier's entry has caused some controversy. The tongue-in-cheek video features a bearded, long-haired Sébastien-alike in a number of Christ-like poses. But the French themselves are more concerned that Sébastien is singing in English. However, the French Eurovision committee may have made a savvy move as songs performed in English are more likely to win.
