The Orange Democratic Party's National Executive Council has instructed its party leader Prime Minister Raila Odinga to nominate a new Deputy Prime Minister to replace Musalia Mudavadi who has since decamped from the party. ODM's NEC argues that one of the 2 positions of Deputy Prime Minister belonged to it, and it was up to the party to nominate one of their own to the position. When ditching ODM two weeks ago, Mudavadi resigned from the position of Local Government Minister but clung on to the post of Deputy Prime Minister, saying the position was protected under the National Accord. Andrew Ochieng reports.
