The "Striding Doublepole" is an innovative ski technique brought to you by Jeff Potter of http://OutYourBackdoor.com. It is the best way to doublepole a lot of times! Like when you're on ungroomed trails, or when conditions aren't fast enough for regular doublepoling, or if you'd like to doublepole up a steeper hill than usual, or if you want to doublepole while wearing a backpack (as when day-touring, say). It's also the only way to do skate-ski training in classic tracks. But it's not taught in books or classes -- yet! I've been promoting "SDP" -- and other innovations -- for years. (See my other videos. Also see videos under my other username, JeffOYB.) SDP is good for soft tracks and homestyle trails of the sort that most people ski on. ...OYB is a website for indie outdoor adventure! (Videographer: Tim Potter.)
