The Persistence of Memory is the first creative video piece written, directed and edited by Abi Collins and Christian Pohl. It portrays a physicist experiencing lapses in consciousness that result in paranoia and hallucinations during a public presentation. The surrealism employed is a statement about the oddness that can occur in everyday interaction, and it is left unclear which parts of the film represent reality and which parts are imagined. A major inspiration for style and content of this short was Mulholland Drive by David Lynch.
