Traffic in Vietnam couldn't possibly be illustrated better. This short glimpse of the heart of Hanoi, at the mouth of the Old Quarter, is mind boggling until you get used to seeing it regularly. I wanted to rent a motorcycle so badly and attempt to drive like a local, constantly beeping just like them too, but better judgment prevailed in the end. Heck, even crossing the street in any city in Vietnam requires a leap of faith, as you literally have to walk right in front of oncoming motorcycles, bikes, cars & buses and they simply swerve out of your way. The Vietnamese are the most impatient drivers I've ever seen. January 13, 2012
