Jenny Radesky, MDFAAP, Assistant Professor of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School, offers an informative and entertaining discussion on the impact that media has on the developing minds of children, speaking here to an auditorium of medical students at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System in Chicago. Dr. Radesky is a pediatrician and researcher in digital media and children and is lead author of the American Academy of Pediatrics policy statement on “Media and Young Minds.” In this educational presentation, Dr. Radesky discusses the importance of early childhood parent-child interactions, the impact that technology has on parent-child interaction, adoption of new digital media by children, and using media as a tool for improving child development.
