Marine Le Pen is the President of the Front National, the third largest political party in France. In 2012 she ran as a candidate in the French presidential election, polling 18% of the vote and finishing in third position, behind Hollande and Sarkozy. As a long-standing MEP, she has become a highly influential figure on the European right and has been named one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people in the world.
