Santa Fe 3751 pulled an excursion train from Los Angeles Union Station to Williams, Arizona and back from May 14 to May 19, 2012. The excursion was called "The Grand Canyon Limited," named after the former Santa Fe passenger train of bygone days. The trip included a round trip from Williams to the south rim of the Grand Canyon, double-headed with Grand Canyon Railway steam engine 4960. This excursion was an officially recognized part of the Arizona Centennial Celebration. These scenes were recorded on the first leg of the return trip from Williams to Los Angeles on Friday, May 18, 2012 on the BNSF (former Santa Fe) Peavine line between Williams and Phoenix and the Arizona and California Railroad between Matthie and Parker, Arizona.
