*UPDATED INFO on 1-18-13: As this was a quick, rush test trying to get on a plane - (Not scientific or procedural by any stretch), I found after the fact that the sharpness dial had been turned up from a previous test days before. Unfortunate as this makes the camera look overly sharp or aliased as someone mentioned. I can assure you that this camera is solid and smooth without this effect normally. The hanging glass beads in the first shots are very tight in pattern which exacerbates this effect, yet this would not normally be the case. This camera produces a breathtaking, well rounded image. This 1080p / web compression doesn't do justice to the 4k here at all.
(Original Post) This is Canon 1DC 4k Test footage downsampled to 1080p. The specs are in the slate. Please pardon the subtle shakes as it was all handheld in 22 degree F, windy weather. I didn't have much patience bare-handed out there, but wanted to shoot a variety of complex tones and gradients. I particularly liked the shine off the pavement and the neon in the paint of the cars. Check out the reflections on the water under the fountains. Pretty decent on the shadows. Thanks for viewing!
