Vehicle had intake manifold gasket replaced, throttle body and IAC cleaned. It then started stall while test driving, followed by starting to make this noise. The day after this video was made, I moved the car into my driveway and it stopped running for good, refusing to turn over. Once I opened it up, found one of the pistons had disintegrated and a chunk of it got wedged in the crank. I also found the head of a valve. My best guess right now is that a valve seat dropped into the cylinder and started to rattle around until it broke the valve, which then busted up the piston. The engine in the car has since been replaced and now runs like a champ.

Looks like it's giving those motor mounts a hell of a workout. :P

Sure it was a Rod? I got a 3.1 v6 Monte Carlo the camshaft broke and the motor did this same thing, I rebuilt it with a aftermarket Camshaft, I guess its common problem with these 3.1from GM, go figure, and people say ford sucks lol

@xFReSHeReST lol, this was a coworker's car. Once this happened, he went and bought a new car and I just kept this rust bucket. It has another motor in it now and has been sold.

Update: Pulled the oil pan off and found a piston in pieces and a twisted rod. thinking either broken camshaft or dropped valve seal. Once I pull the heads off I'll know more still.

@masterd151 We'll see what the culprit is. It did stop turning over not long after this video was taken (all I did was move it back to the driveway). The motor is out and soon we will know what exactly happened.
I can't believe you started her like this knock. Now that's gross. Gaskets need to be replaced. This would have seized engine my girl is 160,890 kms on my 2000 Malibu 3100 and she knocks slightly when cold
