The third installment of the Hughes Brother's Nike campaign comes correct with splashy retro motion graphics, a retro-futuristic fiesta, sick dunks, Snoop Dogg and the original P-Funk allstar, George Clinton.

W+K, Portland's latest foray into recreating fictional basketball circa 1975 taps into a mystical connection between funk music and 1970s gear with a healthy dose of modern day bball stars showcasing their skills against the athletes of this other, simpler era.

Art director Andy Fackrell breaks down the spot and its connection to the previous "Dr. Funk" and "Roswell Rayguns" spots.

"This spot is a TV show set in 1975, like the PFUNK TV show, hosted by Snoop Dogg. Snoop says welcome people back to "The Funk Ship," explaining how Bootsy, George and he keep the funk alive," says Fackrell. "In fact the TV show set is in the shape of the funk ship, which is how they went back in time [in the previous spots]."
