Laser Liposuction Surgery Sarasota - How to Prepare for Laser Liposuction Surgery - Sarasota Surgical Arts, FL

When most patients decide to have laser liposuction, the preparation period is very, very simple. We have a pre-operative packet that's chock full of all kinds of things to avoid, but also things that you want to take. Things to avoid are things like aspirin or ibuprofen as well as a lot of other medicines that could potentially harm or affect the result of the surgery.

As far as the reasons why my packet is so explicit is because I want you to follow my instructions perfectly. I want the result to be as good as it can be and not to
allow outside influences, such as taking the wrong medication or something that should have been talked about before the surgery all of a sudden become a problem down the road. So I'm very, very meticulous in terms of making sure my patients follow these instructions.

Two of the things that I do tell my patients to take, one is Arnica Montana and one is Bromelain. But I also tell them to take at least a multi-vitamin that has a good
level of Vitamin C as well as Zinc. Zinc and Vitamin C are building blocks of collagen. After the liposuction, we're gonna experience a lot of skin shrinkage. And it's important that when the skin is shrinking, that it's able to build collagen because it's able to repair itself and that allows the skin to bounce back and shrink to the clinical levels that we're all expecting.

So, my patients like the fact that I put them on the Vitamin C, the Zinc, and the Bromelain and the Arnica are two homeopathic meds that if taken properly, they really reduce the amount of inflammation and bruising and swelling after the surgery. Most people notice that immediately. And they'll come back after one or two days and say, I have hardly no swelling at all, or I feel great. I'm back to doing my normal activities. And I really attribute that to following my instructions to a "T" and making sure you take these supplements because there're reasons behind taking them.
