Some points needing clarification:-

At 6:42 the fuse shown in the circuit should be placed to the left side of the resistor. At present if the fuse blew, the cap would not discharge.

At 12:30 the motor looses synchronicity because of insufficient capacitance used in the phase controller.

At 5:59, I mention for 100 bps operation, about the need to build a phase controller with more than 90 degrees of shift. Obviously there's more chance of my achieving Cold Fusion in the garden shed, than a 180 degrees phase shift!
