Ayesha Khalid Farah Pandith...US Special Representative To Muslim Communities "Muslims are not monolith" said Farah Anwar Pandith while elaborating on why, in her view point, the US economic assistance had not been able to appease the wide spread anti US sentiment in the Muslim world registered by the polls. She said that opinion surveys register the mood of public for only a given time while the US's investment in the Muslim world was for the long term future relationships. She also answered questions about the latest developments in the Middle East as well as in Pakistan and her office's strategy to reach out to the Muslims of these very important parts of the world. Her impression of the Pakistani youth during her visit to Pakistan was that they wished their opinions to be heard on various issues of national importance. Regarding the State Department's outreach programs for the Muslim women she said that a whole section of the US state department was working to empower the women all around the world. She added that while media needed to highlight the accomplishments of the Muslim women properly it also needed to give equal focus to the wide spectrum of issues faced by Muslim women right now.
