A retrospective performance by Dave McKenzie on the occasion of Radical Presence: Black Performance in Contemporary Art at The Studio Museum in Harlem.
Reflecting on his decade-plus relationship with The Studio Museum in Harlem, Dave McKenzie presents Darker than the Moon, Smaller than the Sun, a retrospective performance. McKenzie's new performance considers his relationship to the Museum, its various audiences, his past work and the afterlife of live performance.
This program is organized by Thomas J. Lax, Assistant Curator and Edwin Ramoran, Manager of Public Programs and Community Engagement with Monique Long, Curatorial Fellow.
