More details on how to draw a gun can be found at http://garethpritchard.hubpages.com/h... where you can watch more videos about drawing guns. The drawing in this video was drawn with graphite pencil and gives you a quick glimpse at the drawing process through example, from basic to details, light to dark. The song Richie Doom is by The MasterBakers and they can be found on http://www.facebook.com/TheMasterBakers, please enjoy.

This gun is a Colt Python as used in Call of Duty Black Ops

The basic process of drawing, weather it be guns or anything else really is quite simple. First draw your outline, making sure that your lines are light and you do not press hard on the pencil. Drawing lightly will mean that, if you do have to erase marks, they will be much easier to do so, if they are light. When you have your outline drawing done, then fill it in by doing the shading. When doing the shading, start out with the lightest areas first, so that the darkest areas are filled in last of all. Use as much of the white of the paper as you can because this will make a good contrast, as well as making less work for you, so you will get your drawing finished more quickly.

I use a B3 graded pencil because it enables me to draw the lighter shades by only pressing lightly on it. The B3 is a softer grade pencil which means it can produce very dark tone as well as light tones if you do not allow yourself to press too hard on it and is considered to be a medium soft black as the B is for black.

It is not advised to press down hard on the pencil when drawing as this makes groves in your paper and is difficult to remove later if you make any mistakes which even the best of us do. You should work by drawing a basic outline of your gun very lightly at the start. The basic outline is best drawn very lightly so it can hardly be seen.

This well help you to place it in a good position on that paper as you will not want to start at one end and find that the other end goes off the paper because it was too big at the start. Start out drawing the biggest shapes first lightly onto the paper then work your way slowly to the smaller shapes within the bigger ones. Taking it slowly and drawing lightly making comparisons with your drawing as compared to what you are drawing as well as elements within your drawing will make your drawings better.

What's most important to remember is that it is best to copy from good pictures at least in the beginning as they will provide good information. Good information will produce good drawings and enable you to get a good grasp of the way gun drawings work. If you want to discover how to draw a gun the simplest way then take it slow and let yourself get faster with experience.
