Researchers from the IWK Health Centre and Dalhousie University understand just how important early intervention is for children who have been diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. In this video, Dr. Isabel Smith, Psychologist, IWK Health Centre and Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Dalhousie University, talks about Nova Scotia's Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention (EIBI) program. The EIBI program serves children who have been diagnosed with ASD, and focuses particularly on the child's development of communication and social skills.
