About 700 people from the Occupy Wall Street protest movement, including child have been arrested on New York City's Brooklyn Bridge.

Those arrested were part of a larger group crossing the bridge from Manhattan, where they have been camped out near Wall Street for two weeks.

The New York City police department say that they began arresting people because they had spilled from the pedestrian section of the bridge onto the roadway and were blocking traffic.

Protesters claim they were led onto the road by police and essentially trapped so they could be arrested.
The loosely-organised group is protesting against corporate greed.

They say they are defending 99% of the US population against the wealthiest 1%.

On Wednesday October 5,NYPD did another brutality again ,hit protesters and media with baton and pepper spray.
