a response to pat condell. In short; Plato's 7th letter in which he says that the revelation of certain things to the majority of people would be dangerous to society. Realities and Myths are revealed to people according to their ability to deal with them; some things are told to children only in story form - other things told to people that are older, spiritually, when they are ready, lest we do damage to the psyche of an individual. Religion itself is a vehicle by which we reach some goal; the old religious ways are transformed as we progress to greater levels of understanding; they are vehicles toward attaining some greater reality. But it is unwise for those who have reached a higher plateau to reveal too readily what they have seen. (Genesis music in the background).
